Congratulations Class of 2027!
Your Northwestern experience begins soon, and this is the perfect time to start thinking about housing your first year on campus! One of the best ways to connect with other new students on campus is by joining a residential college, like Shepard. We'd love for you to join our community of Sheeple! Click the button below to learn more!
Both an entertaining hub for social activities and a quiet place for study, Shepard aims to be comfortable for everybody. Typically housing 75 residents, Shepard’s dorms in South Mid Quads are located on South Campus in the Southwest Area of Northwestern. As a multi-thematic residential college, Shepard's residents possess a myriad of majors, minors, and interests—connecting engineers with music composers, coders with filmmakers, and everyone in between. Each week, the Sheep (a loving name given to Shepard residents) are supplied with a slew of social events, such as Munchies, Game Nights, Movie Nights, and Firesides. Among Shepard’s most popular events are the Woo-Shep Olympics against their rival (Willard), the end-of-quarter Coffeehouse, and the Spring Formal. In addition to fostering a friendly environment, Shepard provides a place for students to interact with faculty members from various disciplines. In fact, Shepard has more fellows than any other Residential College! Lastly, every fall, Shepard offers amazing guidance for the Lambs (first-years) as they begin their new lives as Northwestern students.
